I had a full two days of consistency for this blog, and then I left it. Partially because I ended up being blocked out of my account because something I did seemed to flag me as being a spammer or something. My friend Tom told me that he actually read this thing today, so that gave me hope to actually start writing again.
I have been playing a lot of music lately. I learned Lennox Berkeley's "Theme and Variations," and am currently working on Bach's 3rd lute suite. The prelude of the lute suite seems very interesting to me because of its improvised sound. The first 26 bars just sound like messing around, then the piece starts. hmmm....
I have also been practicing regularly with Minneapolis 1989. We played our first show 2 weekends ago in Duluth, and are planning some more. The show went very well, and a video clip of it can be seen on the bands myspace page. Our CD is almost finished! TW Walsh is mixing the last song at the moment, and will be mastering the project as soon as he finishes with that. I am very excited to hear the album as a whole.
This is all for now... I look forward to trying to be more consistent. Maybe I'll write about politics soon.... but Kieth Oberman already says everything I could ever possibly with to say... so we'll see.
